What to do in Hollywood Road Hong Kong ? We also have the same question for the first time plan to visit this area. But when we arrive and explore this unique and urban area in the middle of Hong Kong skyscrappers in Central business district, we really enjoy this “Road”. Here’s our “what to do” in Hollywood Road Hong Kong tips.
Shopping
Antique. If you looking some chinese antique stuff, you can go to upper lascar row (known as Cat Street). You can find and bargain many ancient stuffs like furniture, jade, silk products, embroideries and wooden handicraft items.
Art Gallery. Hollywood Road has many art gallery, from paintings to sculpture gallery can be found in Hollywood Road.
Concept Store. Some store also sell unique products, like lamps or home decoration. We visit one of unique shops that sells many music boxes made of wood with a cute and fancy design.
Traditional Market. In some part of this road, we can find a traditional market selling fruit, vegetables, fish, meat and some old shop that sells tea or Chinese medicine.
Museum
For you who enjoy visiting museum, Hollywood area has some good museums to visit like:
- Liang Yi Museum,
- Man Mo Temple,
- Dr Sun Yat Sen Museum.
Eating
Hollywood Road area has many fancy cafes and coffee shops, which you can explore around this road. You also can try some Chinese street food available. We tried Kau Kee Restaurant, one of Diana’s favourite restaurants in Gaugh Street, that is famous for their beef brisket noodle.
What to do in Hollywood Road Hong Kong Tips
Hollywood Road area has a quite steep road, where some of them have stairs and the other don’t have. So it will be a little bit tiring to stroll around here. Make sure you bring enough water to drink, and choose your route from the top hill to down hill, so it will be easier when you walk. If you bring young kids, we do not recommend to bring stroller here, it will be better to use carrier.
