W Senses Bali Restaurant Review in Watermark Hotel

W Senses Restaurant is one of the main restaurant in Watermark Hotel & Spa Jimbaran, which is focused on healthy and fresh ingredients. All the cooking techniques are to make sure that the guests get the best out of the dishes provided. We tried to have breakfast and dinner there, particularly trying the special menu of Aged Beef. Here’s our overall W Senses Bali Restaurant Review in Watermark Hotel & Spa Jimbaran.



On the first night, we tried the set menu dinner and it is SUPERB. The taste is all fresh, natural, and tasty. It’s just EXCELLENT!

These are the menu we tried that night. If you pay good attention, almost all menu have Lala’s favourite: BROCCOLI! 😀 She eats a looot lot lott that night. I can tell you, she’s kind of picky in terms of taste. So, you’re convinced that they’re all delicious, right? ;P

  • Bam Bam Ji (shredded chicken)
  • Bagna Cauda (steam vegetables)
  • Prawn Cocktail (our favourites! The prawn is fresh, grounded by crunchy fried flour, and poured with tasty mayonese sauce.)

Main Course:

  • Pork Ribs
    It is cooked with low heat for 10 hours, the meat is so tender and easy to shred.
  • Smoked Chicken
    It is cooked with low heat for 10 hours, the meat is so tender and easy to shred.
  • Aged Beef Sirloin
    Ah, this one is the star for the night. This aged beef is popular in Japan right now, and you can have in Bali, only in W Senses restaurant! It is carefully selected from the best sirloin beef, then goes through quite a long period of preparation & cooking process:
    1) 1 day fermentation of coating with Our Original Brand W sense coffee powder to avoid smell & bring out more flavour

    2) Being smoked with a slight coffee tree aroma to keep the beef original taste. Allow excess water out of the beef and suppress oxidation of the fat.
    3) 2 weeks of dry aging: storing in the fridge to allow enzyme in the meat turn into protein and amino acid, the key to get tastier beef taste.
    4) 1 week of wet aging: cut the meat and vacuum dry and store in the fridge for 1 week before cooking time. This process is to get the tender taste of the beef.

  • Macha Pudding (I’m never into Green Tea, but the chef made me fall in love with this dessert)
  • Chocolata Gato (Chocolate lovers [and Eko] would die for this one!)
  • Yoghurt Pudding (very well-combined with other sweet desserts)

The breakfast theme everyday is different: international, chinese, oriental, and indonesian.

They also have cold press juice, which is the latest techniques to make sure that the vitamins from the fruits are not gone due to hot processing (such as, made with blender). The 100% natural fruits are squeezed under 30 degree celcius to sustain the valuable raw and living nutrients of the fruits.

They combine some fruits to bring out the advantages for human body, such as constipation, skin, recovery, diet, and swelling of the body.



The chef, Yoshifumi Machino, was working in Japan & Guam before joining W Senses restaurant in Watermark Hotel & Spa Jimbaran Bali.

The chef is really taking much efforts on the dishes. He personally come to the guests to make sure everything is good. We really appreciate his detail preparation & presentation for all the food and he’s very friendly, too! He gave some kid biscuits to Lala-chan ^^



All staffs are very attentive, helpful and friendly. All of them can speak Japanese fluently, as most of the guests are coming from Japan.

I can also say that,this hotel is very kids-friendly, seeing the fact that they have kid cutlery and snack for kids! Lala only wanted to eat from this plate during breakfast, LOL.

W Senses restaurant has maximum capacity of 120 people. It has smoking and non-smoking room with air-con. The space is mostly open-air facing the grass and pool, which are very relaxing and refreshing during night and noon.
