Travel Activities Baby under 1 Year Old (Part 1)
Why did I make this Travel Activities Baby under 1 Year Old (Part 1)? Because I rarely see the plane activities for under 1 year old! So, hopefully it will be useful for you 🙂
Holiday is coming soon, yeayy!! But..we are going to have total 16 hours in plane and car during this travel! I know it’s crazy. And even worse, with super active #DearAriella, I don’t think we can survive ? *sigh*
So! After looking for ideas last night, I came and made these DIY activities for Lala when Lala’s bored on the plane. We’ll take it out one by one, and hopefully she can do one thing for quite a long time.
Travel Activities Baby under 1 Year Old (Part 1)
Since she’s still under 1 year old, I have to do some adjustments with what I found in internet & pinterest. Matching cards, learning colors, use pencil or drawing are not her things yet. Now she’s more interested in put in/out, move things to one to another place, touch different texture, stack out the puzzle, more on motoric activities. So here are what I design and make for her (see numbers in picture for reference).
1. Buttons through the hole. We can mention the color when she hold one, and clap hands after she succeed. This one I got from pinterest.
2. This one I modify by myself, with the same concept with no. 1 but this time is about numbers. I cut ice cream stick into 3 parts and write numbers on it. She can put in through any holes available.
3. Same concept, about colors. She has to put through the two round holes. Also sensoric play about texture.
4. Sensoric play with sponge, letters and colors. Just for thouching, since we won’t play with any watercolors.
5. Move the blocks. Similar to, but not lego brand ? She cannot imitate the pattern yet, so these are just for her to touch, stack out, and move from one to another container.
6. Doubletape down. This has two functions: 1) to stick the container to the plane folding seat table, 2) to stick the blocks and she has to remove it.
Well, I’m very satisfied with this Travel Activities Baby under 1 Year Old (Part 1), since I can fit 6 games into 2 small containers!
